Privacy Policy

This Seller Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and Cookee Inc.

Cookee Inc., a Delaware corporation provides Purity – the online platform for art and design students to share their projects, display and sell their work, and connect with other creatives around the world located at We will refer to any or all of this as the “Service.”

We provide this Privacy Policy so you know what we do regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of the Service. This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to us through the Service. Your use of the Service is your consent to the collection, disclosure, transfer, processing, storage and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

This policy does not, however, describe the practices of third parties that may collect information from you when you interact with them, including sellers that use Purity to accept payment for goods or services (“Sellers”). We encourage you to ask them about their privacy practices before providing any information to them. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable as such, and we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these other websites.

We may change this policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy and revising the “Last Updated” date above. We encourage you to review the policy whenever you use our Services to stay informed about our information practices and about the choices available to you.

Purity’s Terms of Use require all account owners to be at least 18 years of age (or have the permission and supervision of a responsible parent or legal guardian), therefore, this policy does not discuss use of our Site or services by minors.

Information We Collect from Your Use of the Services

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site This may include any information provided at the time of registering to use our Site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services or information.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence and your contact details.
  • Information that you upload to, or choose to share through, our site by using our services including profile information or any other personal information in data that you upload.
  • We may collect, but are not limited to collecting, the following: basic user information, such as your name, email address, physical address, location, school name, school major, phone number and photograph shared in your profile, profile activity, IP addresses, referral pages, service behavior, and traffic data.
  • Information that you provide us by completing surveys on our site or as carried out by our approved third parties.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data and the resources that you access.
  • Transaction Information. When you use our Services to make or accept payments, we collect information about when the transactions occurred, a description of the transactions, the payment amounts, billing and shipping information, and information about the payment methods used to complete the transactions.

Purity requires members to provide a valid email address and choose a username connected with their site activity. Students are also required to provide their school name and school major. You may optionally choose to provide a display name for example your full name, and other personal information (such as location, your website address and links to your social accounts) to be publicly displayed. If you are a seller, additional information will be collected such as your name, email address and telephone number.

Your username and optional display name are publicly displayed and connected to your Purity activity. Others will see your submitted content, products listed for sale, and comments. All Members may review, update, correct or delete Personal Information in their account by editing such profile via your account Settings.

Purity automatically receives and records some information from your browser or your mobile device when you visit the Site, such as your IP address or unique device identifier, cookies and data about which pages you visit on the Site. This information helps us analyze and understand how the Site works for members and visitors, and provide a more personalized experience for members and visitors.

Purity may receive or collect information (for example: an email address) about a person who is not yet a registered Purity member (a “non-member”) in connection with certain Purity features, including but not limited to: a non-member subscribing to a Purity newsletter, a member inviting a non-member to visit the Site, or a non-member engaging in a transaction. Non-member information is used only for the purpose it was originally submitted to Purity. A non-member can contact Purity if they do not want Purity to retain their information.

Uses and Sharing

Purity will not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in our Privacy Policy. We will not share your personal information with any third parties for direct marketing purposes. We will only disclose personal information to third parties if we are required to by applicable laws, regulations, or legal and regulatory processes, or if there is a sale, merger, transfer, or exchange of control of Purity to another company.

We use the information that we gather from our users in a number of ways, including to provide and improve our services, for targeted online marketing, and to communicate with you. We also partner with service providers and other third parties that collect, use, and analyze information about Purity users.

With third parties that run advertising campaigns, contests, special offers, or other events or activities in connection with our Services.

As part of the buying and selling process, Purity will facilitate the sharing of information between the two members involved in the transaction. As part of the buying or selling process, you may obtain another Purity member’s email address, shipping address, payment information, and/or other information. As described in Purity’s Buyer and Seller Agreements, you have a limited license to use this information only for Purity-related communications or for Purity-facilitated transactions. Purity has not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages or unauthorized transactions. Without express consent from that person, you must not add any Purity member to your email or physical mailing list or store or misuse any payment information.

We may share personal information about you if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce applicable agreements or policies; to protect the security or integrity of our Services; and to protect us, our Sellers, end users, or the public from harm or illegal activities.

We may also share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information with third parties.

Third Party Payment Processor

Payments on Purity are processed and managed by Stripe, Inc. We use Stripe to assist us in processing your personally identifiable payment information securely. Stripe, Inc. use of your personal information is governed by their respective privacy policy which may or may not contain privacy protections as protective as this privacy policy. Payment service is governed solely by Stripe, Inc. Terms of Service and Privacy Policy We are not responsible for the actions of the third party payment service provider.


The security of your personal information is important to us. Your Purity account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access of your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure by signing out after using our services.

Purity encrypts sensitive information (such as credit card number) using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Purity follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once Purity receives it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We have implemented technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

Messages from Purity

Some messages from Purity are service-related and required for members. Examples of service-related messages include, but are not limited to: a welcome/confirmation email when you register your account, notification of an order, updates about changes to our Site or services, or correspondence with Purity’s support team. These messages are not promotional in nature. You may not opt-out of receiving service-related messages from Purity, unless you close your account.

As a member, Purity may also send you messages related to your activity on the Site. By default, members will receive these messages via email or through the Sites notifications feature. If you would like to opt-out of getting certain messages, log in, go to settings, and use the Email Notifications section to opt-out.


When you register as a member of Purity, you are agreeing to receive emails and in-system notices for announcements, newsletters, recommendations and policy updates. If you would like to opt out of our emails, please contact Purity at [email protected], or follow up unsubscribe link in those emails.

Purity reserves the right to delete your account without notice, for legitimate business reasons. In the unlikely even that this occurs, we will provide an email notification with further details.

Membership termination

If you would like your public profile and membership with Purity terminated, log in, go to settings, and then follow the “Close Account” link.

The Public and the Community

Non members (the “Public”) and members of Purity will be able to view your public profile, including: your display name which may include your first and last name, Purity username, personal website, personal social accounts, address, phone number, users you follow, followers, and liked and saved items.


A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns.

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject cookies; however, our Services may not function properly if you do so.
